If you have read my previous post about Why I Don’t Want to Lose Weight, then you are probably aware of my objective to live a healthy lifestyle. Although there has been days and sometimes weeks where I have fallen off the path, I have hopped back as soon as I felt better.
Since I am not a Gym person, I like to workout in my home. I find it easier to focus and workout on my own. Something that has helped me with my objective is the fitness DVDs. I received the Weight Watchers 7 day Tone & Burn DVD for review purpose and you can read my review below.
It is an intense 30-minute tone and 30 -minute burn workout programs. The first routine (Burn Workout) focuses on cardio with energizing moves and uncomplicated moves. The second routine (Tone Workout) is designed to sculpt and strength your body. Both of the workouts are offered for the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. You can pick and choose which level to follow.
My review:
I still consider myself a beginner because I have not been able to consistently exercise. So when I started working out, I took the advice that was offered in the beginning of the session; to start off with the Burn workout before advancing to the Tone workout. The instructor Lisa Wheeler does her job well. Her instructions are easy to follow and she is quiet upbeat. The warm ups were easy to follow as well. They were a little bit too fast for me to keep up but not impossible.
However, as I progressed I found it difficult to keep up. Even the beginner routine was difficult. It was fast paced. The transitions were not easy. To go from push-ups to lunges was challenging for me. I am also overweight, so some of the exercises were simply not practical for me. I did feel the pain and the burn, which is a good thing. I just felt like because of the pace I was missing a lot of steps and not doing it the right way. After trying for sometime I gave up. This DVD is definitely not for beginners. It is good for someone who has an established fitness routine. The moves are doable, but intense and only for the experienced. For me personally I felt that I needed to build up my fitness level more before I can take up on it again.
To summarize my review, I will say this; The Weight Watchers 7 day Tone & Burn Workout DVD is great for intermediate and advanced level, but is not practical for beginners. So all the experience fitness enthusiasts, if you want some thing challenging and intense check out this DVD. It is available on Amazon (Click Here) for $9.91
Disclosure: I received this DVD complimentary for review purpose. However, all opinions are honest and my own.
