As I approach 2013 with new objectives and resolutions, I look into my past for resurrection. I am not talking about resurrection in terms of religion. Actually it is a revival of my old T-SHIRT DRESS Project (those who don’t remember about it please check out the link). About two years back I collaborated with my friend Evelet Sequeira for this project. The idea was very simple; I sewed the dresses and Evelet who is doctor with UNICEF, in her unofficial capacity passed it out to few girls in far off villages in India. She gave out the dresses to girls in Nandurbar, Chandrapur and Latur in Maharastra (India).
Evelet recently asked me to make more dresses and I jumped up at the offer. The success of this previous project has inspired me to do more this year. I am planning to make as much as I can up until June or July of this year and I hope my readers will be able to help me out too (please see below on how you can help). Check out the pictures of my previous T-shirt dresses. Hopefully I will have some more updates and pictures later.
If any of you wish to donate or contribute to the T-shirt Dress Project in anyway, it will be greatly appreciated. You can donate T-shirts (girls sizes 2T to 12 and boys sizes 2T to 14). All T-shirts should be short sleeves and brand new with their tags on (sorry folks! I am not accepting old or lightly used clothes). If you wish to donate fabrics, I will gladly accept those too. The only donation or contribution I am not accepting at this moment is cash.

What a wonderful thing you’re doing (they’re adorable, too). I will be sure to pass the message around that you are accepting t-shirt donations for this.
