About the Recipe
I came up with this recipe for Hara Bhara Chicken Seekh Kabab because I wanted something savory and delicious with minimal ingredients and effort. Over the years, I experimented with a combinations of ingredients and finally came up with this recipe that worked, tasted great and had 100% approval from my family and friends.
The ingredients; mint and coriander leaves lend these kababs the Hara bhara (roughly translates to fresh greens) component. As a result of these greens, the chicken seekh kababs have a refreshing taste that is just right for a summer barbecue or outdoor grilling.
Ingredient Notes and Substititions
Ground Chicken: is the main ingredient. I usually like to make my own ground chicken (see how to make it yourself). However, if I am pressed for time, I don’t mind using the store bought ground chicken.
Hara Bhara Ingredients: include garlic, ginger, green chilies, mint leaves and coriander leaves. These ingredients add a refreshing taste to the kababs.
Bread crumbs: I like to use a some bread crumbs in the kababs mixture. The bread crumbs allow to bind the mixture and make it easier to form the kababs. You can use either regular bread crumbs or panko bread crumbs.
Other ingredients: include chopped onions, salt and oil.
