I was recently offered the 8” Green Earth Pan by Ozeri for a review. I was happy with this opportunity because I was dying to try out this new frying pan. After reading about the harmful effects of Teflon a couple of years back, I slowly began phasing out my non-stick pots and pans and replacing them with stainless steel. It took a while to get used to stainless steel as I was so comfortable cooking with non-stick. Currently, I enjoy cooking with stainless steel, but I miss the convenience of the non-sticks pans.
For that purpose, I was more than happy to review the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri. It is a ceramic coated pan which does not contain any harmful metals or chemicals. It is 100% PTFE and PFOA free and eco-friendly. It is scratch resistant and offers superior non-stick performance. The handle is oven safe and the pan can be used over an induction stove.
My review:
I have been using this pan for almost 2 weeks now. Appearance wise, I would like to point out, I like the way it looks. It has a lovely green color on the outside and is fitted with sleek long black handle. The handle is very comfortable, and I am able to hold the pan at a safe distance from the flame and not feel the heat on my arm. I like the fact that the pan is heavy, but not so much that you can’t lift it.
I have been using this pan mostly to prepare eggs (I make eggs a lot) and I like to make them with very little oil. I made sure I followed all directions carefully. As per the directions, after washing and wiping off the pan I applied a bit of oil and set it aside before my first use. I made fried eggs with little oil and it turned out great. The next day after I washed the pan, I made fried eggs again, this time without any oil at all. Guess what? Not only did it cook properly, it even slid of the pan without any effort from me. The texture of the eggs was another story. Without oil the egg turned out a bit, only a little bit, chewy in texture. The only issue I have with this pan is it takes longer for the food to cook. The recommended setting to use with the pan is on a medium flame. I found it took longer to cook, when I kept it on this setting. Overall I am satisfied with this pan.

Hi Babs! We’re in the same “tribe” for the SITS bloggy tribe building. I have been looking for a good non-stick pan for a while, maybe I’ll give this one a try. I’ve used the green one that HSN carries and those seem to work OK but this one might be better. Great review! 🙂
I like the color too. Hmm not sure I would like my eggs chewy (i cook alot of eggs as well) – guess people would have to remember to add oil all the time? why would the egg be chewy? food for thought.
This looks like such a good pan. I like that you can make more then one egg in it and it slides off easily. Quick breakfast
We have one of these Green Earth pans and I love it! I love making eggs in ours, as well.
I just got another one yesterday too. Love using it in cooking eggs, pancakes, and fish 🙂
I’ve seen a few of these reviews and everyone says that they’re great. I will have to look into them when I need new pans.
This pan is very stylish and I love that it works so well. I hate sticky pans that I have to spend a lot of time cleaning.
I think it is great that there are no harmful chemicals and you can reduce your oil use.
If I didn’t eat raw, I would snatch up this great tool
I’ll have to check out this company! I’m always looking for new cookware to add to my collection.
Thanks for this review! I was wondering how those work. I’ve been thinking about getting one!
i love Ozeri products they are durable and make cooking so much easier
I really need to try these pans they look really good and i like that they are colourful.
Ozeri does make the best products, don’t they!???
I actually have this pan and love it. I keep meaning to order the lid to go with it to make it my favorite pan. I have burned things and it still wipes clean – perfect!
Wow, I’m impressed by the lack of stickiness of the egg. I need scratch-resistant frying pans as well. Thanks for sharing this!
A good pan is so perfect especially with cooking – omelettes are perfect with that and crepes too. 😀 i totally love non-stick that’s for sure!
I love their pan, I use mine everyday. I would like to get one of this as well. Very nice review.
I love Ozeri products. I would love a pan like this to cook for my family.
I will be needing a new fry pan pretty soon and I certainly will be giving this one a look see at that time. Up to this point I have mostly used stainless steel or cast iron (soo heavy—) it will be interesting to see the differences.
I think you just talked me into buying a new skillet! This looks great… and I love the green!
I need that pan now. I didnt know pans had that in them.
Cool! If nothing else, I DO love the color of the pan!
Loving the colour and the fact it sounds like it’s pretty much non-stick I’m not a fan of too much oil either 🙂 x
Looks like an amazing pan. I am always looking for a good pan.
It’s amazing how nicely that worked and since you’ve used it multiple times already and keep having a good experience, I’m even more impressed. Plus the color is fun!
I really like ceramic coated pans, we have 2 and they have worked well so far. Love the green colour of this pan.
I need to buy me a new pan. Maybe this is the one 🙂
I have wanted one of these pans for a long time! They look absolutely perfect for all the cooking I do!
Good to know. I like you have gone away from Teflon years ago. Would look into this more in the future. Thanks,
I love the bright green color! I bet I could make the perfect eggs in it too!~
My daughter has several of these pans. I think they work great, although they do heat up a bit slow.
I love the way your eggs turned out. It is easy to clean up, too.
I want one of these pans!!! I never thought about my pans containing harmful chemicals… but now that I know some do, I want one that doesn’t.
Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing pan! My frying pan is so old, I would love to have one of these to replace it.
