During summer time, I am a night owl. I love sleeping late. The girls don’t have school and as a stay-at-home-mom I have the luxury of waking up late in the morning. For this small luxury I do have a price to pay. I usually end up with puffy eyes and dark circles.
The dark circles are more prominent and I always look like I am tired and exhausted. I used Adovia Mineral Eye Gel, which I had received for review purposes to see if I could get rid of the dark circles. I have been using it for couple of days now and before I write my feelings and opinions about it, I am going to take some time list down the product description.
The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is formulated specifically for the gentle area around the eyes. The gel is light and absorbs quickly into the skin for deep hydration. It contains vitamin C and Dead Sea salt, which delivers powerful antioxidants into skin cells. Additionally the company also promises our eyes will look 10 years younger, look more youthful and refreshed or you will get your money back.
My review:
My first thought when I received the eye gel is that I liked the way it was packaged. The eye gel was actually in a glass jar and not some cheap plastic container. It felt very pricy and expensive. Next thing that impressed me is the size of the jar (1.7 fl.oz) and the quantity of the eye gel. It was generous compared to other brands of eye gels/creams and I am sure it will last for a long time.
I used the eye gel only at nights before sleeping. On touch, the consistency of it was more creamy and less gel like. After application, I found that the gel was light but it did take few seconds longer for absorption. The feature I liked the most was the gel was not greasy and it was also fragrance free. Since I was careful in applying the gel, I made sure nothing got into my eye and so did not end up with irritation of any kind.
I know you all must be curious to know the results. Well I have to be honest. The eye gel did reduce the puffiness, but did not eliminate or reduce the dark circles. I don’t know if you can see it in the picture above, I still have dark circles. Having said that the fact that it reduces the puffiness around the eyes was more than enough for me. This was personally my experience, it could be different for some one else.
If you are interested in trying out the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel, it is available on Amazon (Click Here) for $29.00.
Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This is great to know. I don’t ever get dark circles, but puffiness is definitely something I see when I haven’t slept enough.

I have the same issues and am always looking for an eye cream that can reduce puffiness. I don’t know if there really is much you can do about the dark circles. Some of that has to do with the fat pads and genetics. I would like to give this a try, especially if it helps the puffiness.

This product sounds really interesting – most of my issues are due to puffiness rather than dark circles, so perhaps I need to give this a try 🙂 x

I need to get me some of this. I have cray puffiness under my eyes I think some of it has to do with allergies.

I’ve been noticing puffiness under my eyes. If there’s something that is mineral-rich like this to help, I’m all-in. Thanks for the product FYI!!

During the summer, I tend to stay up late too, but my kids are so young, I don’t always get the luxury of sleeping in.

It seems the older I get the puffier my face feels. I think the price is really reasonable. Especially with all the other products out in the market. Glad to know it worked for your puffiness.

I have horrible dark circles under my eyes. I have used many products hoping to find something that will help, but none has proven effective. I will ask my aunt who lives in the States to source this for me and I’ll give it a try. Perhaps after awhile of consistent use it will improve. I’m willing to try.

It is a little hard to see in the picture, but I will take your word for it that they are there LOL. I get puffiness sometimes, so it sounds like this would be worth a try.
