Does Beyonce really need these custom designed (by PMK) sneakers? Check out the picture and you will see at least five different living beings (stingray, ostrich, calf, crocodile and anaconda) gave up their life so that Beyonce can strut around in misguided luxury. It is not only Beyonce who is guilty of this fashion faux pas, but her husband is equally guilty too. Jay-Z too has ordered a pair of sneakers made up of couple of animal/reptile skins.
I don’t like to criticize anyone, but I can’t help but seethe in anger and disappointment. Beyonce and Jay-Z definitely have the means to buy into this fashion nonsense, but do they have to do that? Who are they trying to impress? Don’t they have any moral responsibility? They have to know of all the cruelty that is involved in trying to procure those skins. Check out this recent article, which appeared in DailyMail (UK), about how snakes are farmed and slaughtered for their exotic skins. It will disgust you. It would tempt even a hardcore fashionista to shun the fashion industry and all their inhumane cruelty against animals and reptiles alike.
As a celebrity with common masses trying to emulate her every step, it would be nice if Beyonce showed a little bit of class and snubbed these products. I hope she comes to her senses and does her part to stop animal cruelty. I also hope all other celebrities who love to display their ignorance with fur coats (are you listening Lindsay), snake and alligator handbags come too their senses too.

I agree. Without the various parts being pointed out, I surely wouldn’t have know what each piece was made of. The fact is that just because you can afford to do something doesn’t mean you should.
