About the Recipe
I have been making this peda recipe during Diwali for a couple of years. This recipe is similar to my Mango Modak Peda recipe. However, the only difference is in how you form the shape of this sweet treat. Instead of shaping it like modak, you can shape it round like a peda.
Diwali sweets and treats are time-consuming and complicated. I like the option of making quick and easy recipes during the busy festive occasions. This instant mango peda recipe is the perfect addition to Diwali. You pop the ingredients into a microwave, cook for a few minutes, and then shape them. It’s that easy.

Ingredients and Substitute for Mango Peda
Mango Pulp: for this recipe, I am using canned mango pulp. At the time of Diwali (October or November), fresh mangoes are not available.Canned mango pulp is the perfect alternative. You can find canned mango pulp in Indian stores and Amazon.
Condensed Milk: I use condensed milk instead of sugar as a sweetener for this recipe. Condensed milk adds the right amount of sweetness to this recipe. You can use any brand of condensed milk.
Milk Powder: is one of the most important ingredient in this recipe. I like to buy dry milk powder from Walmart because it has a texture. However, you can use the one available in the Indian store. It is available on Amazon as well.
Other Ingredients: include butter, cardamom powder, and mango essence. You can find mango essence in Indian stores.
